Adam keeps his promise

There was a woman that has name is Sarah. She lived in Jakarta.  Sarah had a fiancé, Adam. Adam was an engineer at a state-owned company.  Adam got scholarship from his office to continue his study in Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan.  Because of that, they planned to marry as soon as possible. They married on February 1997, and a month later Adam went to Japan.  Sarah cannot go together because of Adam’s office rules. Adam’s office rules allowed him to bring his wife after he finished to study Japanese language or after 6 months.  She planned to follow Adam 6 months later as like as Adam’s office rules. Adam promised to back to Jakarta 6 months later so they can go to Tokyo together.

            On August 1997, Sarah prepared for all her needs to follow her lovely husband.  She ran out of patience to wait for the time to go to Tokyo, Japan.  A week before she went to Tokyo, everything that she would bring was completed. She was so nervous because she wanted to meet her husband immediately. She missed her husband so much.  Her mother always reminded her to be calm. Every day she checked her luggage.

Two days before her husband came, when she checked her luggage for the final, she heard the phone rang, and she picked the phone. She heard a man voice,” Hello, are you Mrs. Adam?  Sarah answered,” Yes, I am.”   A man said,” My name is Rudy, Adam’s friend, in Tokyo.  I am from the same company with Adam in Jakarta. I want to give you information that Adam has passed away. I found him fallen down from his desk at computer laboratory. We are taking Adam to the hospital. We were on the way.”

Sarah screamed,” Oh no...”, and she fainted. Her mother was startled to see Sarah fainted, and called Sarah’s father for help and do something for Sarah, and she picked the phone and talked with Rudy.  She gave instruction to Rudy to arrange Adam’s corpse, and send back to Jakarta as soon as possible.

Adam’s office gave the information that Adam had heart attack, he was not sick before.  Adam’s office also handled for Adam’s corpse until arrived in Jakarta.

            Sarah woke up and saw her parents, Adam’s parents and her family around her.  She was crying, crying and crying again, she was so sad.  She had no idea what has happened to Adam.  She remembered Adam’s promise to go back to Jakarta after he was six months in Tokyo.  Adam always keeps promise. He promised to go back to Jakarta … but when he was not alive.  Sarah did not think about that before. She met Adam for the last time when he was alive at airport and she met with Adam for really last time at the airport again for farewell forever.
